Partnership Working

Partnership working with families who attend our setting is important to us, attending Rose Tree Nursery means you will receive login details to EYlog, a family app which provides you with electronic daily diaries, photographs, observations and reports for your little one.  You can share communication with us through our app and we can leave notes for you too. We have various events where we can which we can invite families into the setting for including Graduation for School Leavers, garden picnics and stay and plays. See our gallery for some pictures of our partnership working events. Whilst at Rose Tree we will create a paper record containing some special creations and memories of your child’s time with us. Although your child’s main learning journey is on your EYlog app, we understand the importance of hardcopy keepsakes, and this is a sure way you can retain wonderful memories for your child for their future.

SEND

We take huge pride in our strengths in our approach to neurodiverse needs. We start tracking children’s development from the moment they begin with us, and if we notice any emerging needs, will arrange meetings with families to discuss this. From our meetings we may begin a graduated approach and put intensive plans and support into place to best support your child and you, their family. Wellcomm screening can be carried out and from this where necessary, speech and language referrals. We have close links with our Local Authority Special Educational Needs Officer. If following our graduated approach and with careful planning alongside families it is deemed supportive, we will apply for Educational Health Care Plan Assessments to be made. An EHCA can ensure smoother transitions into Primary education.

Rose Tree Day Nursery Ethos

The most important thing to your child is our priority. By creating an enabling environment where your child feels safe, loved and empowered they are more likely to take their own steps onto the learning journey, and we will be there to support every step they take, providing learning opportunities that they will be stimulated by and find enjoyment in.

By practising a family centred approach utilising parent partnership, we observe what is most important to your child and tailor how we can best support their individual circumstances and needs.

Children's Day Nursey - Letter C Building Block

Children are naturally curious- this is one of the reasons Rose Tree Day nursery in Wirral is following the Curiosity approach. We want your child to become an effective learner and have resources that are readily available for them to initiate independent learning. The curiosity approach means that we use lots of natural resources that a child can use their imagination by encouraging lots of Open-ended play.

Children are amazing, developing little humans. They are the future of society and enabling them to have opportunities that they can learn about British values and diversity during their early years can help support them into in the future being able to contribute valuably to society. They are learning all the time about the world around them and it is our privilege to present as many exciting learning opportunities as possible. To see a child learning, developing and achieving, to problem solve and overcome obstacles and watch their sense of achievement grow is a real wonder to behold.

Happy children are more confident learners, by creating learning opportunities around personal, social and emotional development and by promoting parent partnership we can ensure all aspects of the child’s life is recognised, best promoting a happy child.

Independent – We value the importance of encouraging independent learning, helping your child learn during their early years the importance of decision making. This encourages your child to be creative and gives them the ability to think critically.

Loved – a feeling of being loved at home and at nursery is so important for a child to feel a sense of belonging. We allocate all children their own keyworker to ensure that their emotional needs are met, this is fundamental for their learning and development in other areas. We present learning opportunities which help the children to learn about equality and diversity so as they can understand kindness and inclusivity.

Diet – Children have a right to be nourished with healthy food which supports healthy growth and development. At our nursery we have a specialised catering service which meets all dietary requirements and follows guidance. In recognising the holistic needs of a child, healthy choices include promoting excellent dental care which is why we allocate each child their own toothbrush and we support each child to learn this important self-care activity with us.
